Jiayang Zhou is an emerging writer and director working across science fiction, fantasy, and psychological drama. He studied directing in China and is currently pursuing a Master of Film and Screen Arts at the University of Sydney.
His work combines genre storytelling with an arthouse sensibility—using speculative worlds to explore intimate, human questions. His films and screenplays have received recognition from festivals and industry programs in Macau, London, Rome, New York, and Los Angeles. He also worked as a directing department intern on the theatrical feature Detective Chinatown: Virtue Beyond Fate.
